The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in influence within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

The traitor then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Fans can expect finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
